There are times when the weather simply won’t cooperate with your plans for a Beach Wedding. What’s the old saying? If Life give you lemons… make lemonade. This couple/family decided to take matters into their own hands and were going to have their Beach Wedding one way or another. Absolutely one of the most incredible settings that I have ever witnessed… Way to go!!! Thanks for capturing it Alex!
I don’t know how they did it… but Paul & Michelle hid their secret for over a year. The secret is now out! What an absolutely sweet, fun, adorable couple. I had the honor and complete pleasure of uniting Paul & Michelle in marriage on the beach of the Sanderling Inn Resort . And if the couple wasn’t fun enough… Brooke Mayo & Carrie Roen of Brooke Mayo Photography joined in to ramp up the fun, add a little ‘sassiness’ and capture the sweetest moments with incredible pics! What an amazing evening : )
Here we are approaching another exciting Wedding Season on the Outer Banks! I have been fortunate enough to make plans with many amazing couples and am very much looking forward to taking part in one of the biggest days of their lives. This past weekend we kicked off the Season with our 1st annual; The Outer Banks Wedding Show which was presented by obxBrides.com . It was a smashing success and I was honored to be a part of it and meet the wonderful couples that I was able to meet. Let the Season Begin!!!
With the sun setting on another incredible season here on the Outer Banks… I just wanted to take a moment to say ‘Thank You’!!! Thank You to all of the wonderful couples that entrusted me to be such an integral part in one of the most amazing moments in their lives. Thank You for opening your hearts and your lives to me. Thank You for introducing me to your loving families and friends. Thank You for your generosity. Most of all… Thank You for filling my heart with so many warm and wonderful emotions and memories to last a lifetime. I just hope that I was able to add, even a little bit, to your wedding day experience.
Until next time….
One potential drawback of having a ‘Destination Wedding’ vs. having your wedding at ‘home’ is the lack of familiarity with your Wedding Officiant. This is one of the biggest and most meaningful moments of your lives! Wouldn’t it be nice to at least feel comfortable with that person? It is always my mission to ensure that I bring positive elements to your Outer Banks Wedding Ceremony.
- I want to be sure that you don’t lose sight of what this moment is all about. Take a minute, (whether it be just before you walk down the aisle, during your ceremony or in those few brief moments after you are married), to just look around at your setting, the people surrounding you and just take it all in.
- I want to instill confidence in you so that you know you are in good hands and that I will help you along every step of the way and remove as many “what ifs” as I can. I know if I can do that… you will be much more comfortable and relaxed so that you can fully appreciate and enjoy the moment. Which leads me to…
- I never lose sight of the significance of this momentous occasion… but I do like to have fun! I always like to bring an element of fun to your OBX Wedding too. There’s not much that’s more effective at putting people at ease as much a smile : )
Thank you so much for being there on our wedding day and making it so
special! People actually were asking us how long we had known you.
They were surprised to hear we only met face-to-face the night before.
You made our ceremony very comfortable and special. We appreciate your
efforts and you have always been quick to respond and very thorough in
your follow-up. It was always appreciated… especially during the
most hectic times of wedding planning. Take care!
Eric & Danielle
This is what having a Beach Wedding on the Outer Banks is all about. Holli & Noah were surrounded by their loved ones and just had fun with the whole process. Thank you to Wendy for capturing the moment: www.capturedbywendy.com . And of course… Congratulations to Holli & Noah and Thank You for allowing the honor… and the Fun!
Here we are in ‘Full Swing’ of the Outer Banks Wedding Season! I wanted to share with you what is one of my favorite OBX Wedding traditions… the Sand Ceremony. I like to refer to this as “the beach version of the Unity Candle.” It carries similar symbolism to the Unity Candle, ( the blending of two individuals to form a relationship as one ), but you will have a very hard time keeping a candle lit on the beach ; )
I don’t claim to be a morning person… but what an absolutely beautiful way to start the day and the rest of your lives. There is something just ‘magical’ about a sunrise on the Outer Banks! It is so peaceful, stunningly beautiful, usually comes with dolphins… and is pretty early ; ) Actually this time of year isn’t too bad. The sun crept over the horizon at @ 6:05am on this particular day. Tammy & Brian enjoyed an intimate ceremony accompanied by family members and close friends. They provided seashells for everyone present that had the couple’s names and their wedding date written on them. At the conclusion of their ceremony, we all walked to the water’s edge to share in a blessing and then tossed our shells into the ocean to seal the blessing for Brian & Tammy’s life together moving forward as Husband & Wife! Thanks again for allowing me the honor in sharing in such a wonderful experience.
Incredible weather, amazing setting, (Yes… those are horses on the beach!), and one of the greatest days of their lives! What better way to spend a Palm Sunday? Thank You Jason & Ashley for allowing me the honor of serving you as you start the rest of your lives together. And Thank You to Doug & Michelle of Outer Banks Productions for sharing the great pic!
